Stronger Together: From a Springbok win to a KFC proposal

Reading Time: 3 minutes

For the past week spirits have been high in South Africa after the Springboks became the World Champions at the Rugby World Cup in Japan, and now, KFC is adding some finger-lickin-good sparkle and goodness to the mix.

A video has been doing the rounds of a man proposing to his now fiance in a KFC.

And while some Debbie Downers have voiced their opinion on how unromantic a proposal is in a KFC restaurant, the rest of South Africa chose to see it for what it is: love. And it has created such a zinger-wing-sizzling-sizzle online that big South African companies have decided to join forces and give the happy couple a wedding to remember.

If this is not a feel-good-story, I don’t know what is. The whole of South Africa is pulling together, giving us all the feels.
